History of Fernielea Gospel Hall
Fernielea Gospel Hall was founded in 1966, by a number of Christians, who were meeting in other churches in Aberdeen. A lot of building work was taking place in the Summerhill area of Aberdeen and having a church in the vicinity was seen to be vital for the spiritual welfare of the community. Whilst the current building was under construction the people met in a wooden shed (see photograph below). Once the building was finished the wooden shed was taken away and meetings took place within the current building. The shape of the building has not changed, since the early days, except for the addition of a creche. However there have been continual improvements and modernisation to the fabric of the building.
