The History of Fernielea Gospel Hall…

Fernielea Gospel Hall was founded in 1966 by a number of Christians who were meeting in other churches in Aberdeen. A lot of building work was taking place in the Summerhill area of Aberdeen and having a church in the vicinity was seen to be vital for the spiritual welfare of the community.

Whilst the current building was under construction the people met in a wooden shed (see photograph above). Over the years there have been continual improvements to the fabric of the building as well as the addition of a creche and a multi-function back room.
